Tyler Dukes is the public records reporter at WRAL News in Raleigh, N.C. Prior to joining WRAL, he worked as managing editor for the Duke University Reporters’ Lab, a research project aimed at reducing the costs of investigative reporting. He’s taught class at UNC-Chapel Hill’s journalism school, freelanced for The News & Observer, trained student reporters as an adviser to a university’s daily newspaper and worked as a web editor for News 14 Carolina.
